How we handle your information.

Who we are

Immersync Corp (“Immersync”, “we”, “us”) is a technology consulting company at 6072 Starfield Crescent, Mississauga, Ontario L5N 1X1, Canada. We operate the website at immersync.com (the “site”). We are responsible for the personal information collected through the site, and we handle it in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other laws that apply to us.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you use the contact form, we ask for your first and last name, your work email address and a message. You can also choose to give us your phone number, your company name and the topic you want help with. We only collect what you type into the form.

If you email or call us directly, we keep the information you share in that conversation.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit and referring web addresses. We use this only to run the site, keep it secure and understand overall traffic. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site.

When you send the contact form, a bot-protection check from Cloudflare runs in your browser. It looks at technical signals from your browser and device to tell people apart from automated software. It does not ask you to identify yourself.

How we use it

We use the information you give us to reply to your enquiry, set up and run a consultation, and provide the services you ask for. We may keep notes from those conversations so we can follow up properly.

We use automatically collected technical information to deliver the site reliably, detect abuse and spam, and fix problems.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have a legal or similar effect on you. If we ever want to use your information for a purpose not described here, we will ask you first.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and respond to you. They may only use it on our instructions. At the time of this policy they are:

• Cloudflare hosts the site, delivers the contact form to us and provides the bot-protection check. Cloudflare processes request data, including IP addresses, as part of that service.
• Microsoft provides the email, automation and business systems where your enquiry is delivered and stored.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces the site uses. Your browser requests the font files from Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details for that request.

We may also disclose personal information if the law requires it, to respond to a valid request from a court or public authority, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale, merger or reorganisation of our business, in which case we will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Cookies

The site itself does not set cookies and does not ask you to accept any. The Cloudflare bot-protection check on the contact page may set a short-lived cookie that is needed to confirm the check passed; it is not used to track you across other sites. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but the contact form may not send if the check cannot run. If that happens, email or call us instead.

How long we keep it

We keep contact enquiries and the correspondence that follows for as long as we need them to respond to you, to provide services, and to keep ordinary business records, and then we delete them. We keep technical logs for a short period for security and troubleshooting. We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where it is needed to resolve a dispute.

Where it is stored

Immersync is based in Canada. Our service providers may store or process information on servers in Canada, the United States or other countries, where privacy laws can differ from those where you live. Where that happens, we rely on the contractual and security commitments of those providers to protect your information to a comparable standard.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also withdraw consent to our use of it, subject to any legal or contractual reasons we need to keep it. To do any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the privacy regulator where you live.

Security

We protect personal information with technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on the systems where enquiries are stored, and bot protection on the contact form. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to prevent loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Children

The site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

The site links to websites we do not control, such as LinkedIn and X. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top of the page. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
